Association of Day Care Operators of Ontario (ADCO)

Synergy is proud to announce our membership with the Association of Day Care Operators of Ontario!  We believe there to be a natural connection between our services and those required by ADCO members.

The Child Care and Early Years Act 2014 (Bill 10):  Coming into effect as of August 31, 2015, this new act requires all day care operators to provide Standard First Aid with infant and childcare CPR.  SYNERGY MEETS this requirement by providing Standard Childcare First Aid and CPR through our training partner MedGlobe Synergy, authorized provider under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario.  

The requirements under the act are as follows:

  • Resource Teacher (55. (2)):  Every licensee shall ensure that every resource teacher has a valid certification in standard first aid, including infant and child CPR, issued by a training agency recognized by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board or otherwise approved by a director
  • Staff training and development (58. (2)):  Every licensee shall ensure that every employee working at a child care centre and every provider of home child care or in-home services has a valid certification in standard first aid, including infant and child CPR, issued by a training agency recognized by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board or otherwise approved by a director
